History

Tom Finch founded Fox Valley School of Massage on February 19, 1996 in response to a growing demand for professionally trained massage therapists.  He applied for and received approval from the State of Wisconsin Educational Approval Board (a state agency that oversees and regulates private secondary educational schools).

Fox Valley School of Massage continually strives to improve the educational standards it provides by expanding the classroom hours, modalities and instructors.  With a solid science foundation and complementary courses, students completing the program have shown an excellent passing rate on the National Certification Exam.

The Massage Profession

Massage therapy is a rapidly growing field in today’s medical world.  Massage is often used in conjunction with traditional medicine.  With the training provided at Fox Valley School of Massage, students will have the skills to open their own practices.  Students will also be aware of the opportunities and benefits of working with a hospital, a chiropractor or in a spa / salon setting.  Students may choose to use the training here as a stepping-stone while continuing on studying occupational or physical therapy practices.
