Massage Classes and Hours
MASSAGE THERAPY PROGRAM: FULL TIME & PART TIME OPTIONS
Fox Valley School of Massage offers their professional massage therapy training program three times each year. In order to complete the massage therapy training, all courses need to be taken at Fox Valley School of Massage as advanced standings for classes previously taken is usually not granted. *Students with education from a post-secondary institution may request a review for a fee.
September Evening Program with weekends (Can be taken as either Full Time or Part Time)*
Mondays (5:30-8:55) & Wednesdays (5:30-9:55) with graduation in June. **
September Day Program with weekends (Can be taken as either Full Time or Part Time)*
A day program held on Mondays from 12:00 – 8:55 p.m. with graduation in June. **
February Day Program with weekends (Can be taken as either Full Time or Part Time)*
A day program held on Tuesdays 9:00 a.m – 5:30 p.m. with graduation in January.
This class does not meet the months of July and August. **
*Fox Valley School of Massage weekends:
All students are required to attend weekend classes.
**Fox Valley School of Massage Student Internship / Massage Theory & Practice II
All students are required to complete Massage Theory & Practice II. This course encompasses a student internship at FVSM. These hours are in addition to the above scheduled times and are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September – June. Each student attends this course a total of 19 times or approximately 1 – 3 times per month for the duration of the program. This course is scheduled with each student individually to best accommodate each student’s personal schedule.
COURSE OF STUDY AND HOURS OF INSTRUCTION
FVSM provides training in massage therapy and related modalities that exceeds the State requirements and includes, but is not limited to, the courses listed below. All clock hours are fifty minutes in duration.
- Anatomy & Physiology - 68 hours
- Anatomy & Kinesiology - 60 hours
- Pathology for Massage Therapists - 44 hours
- Business Marketing & Wisconsin State Laws & Ethics - 50 hours
- Massage Therapy or Bodywork Theory, Technique & Practice / Clinic - 320 hours
- Adult CPR-AED & Standard First Aid - 5 hours
- Additional Course Offerings – Massage & Bodywork - 105 hours
- Total: 652 hours
