Teaching Opportunities at Fox Valley School of Massage

Thank you for your interest in Fox Valley School of Massage’s Adjunct Teaching Opportunities.

Fox Valley School of Massage builds and maintains a pool of candidates for potential teaching opportunities in multiple areas including Science Courses such as A&P, Pathology, and A&K as well as the Massage Courses offered at FVSM.

Adjunct instructors are hired on a per-course basis.  The hours vary depending on the type of course / semester.  Instructors may teach one or two classes per week during a semester.  Please note that some courses also require evenings and Saturdays.

To express interest in adjunct teaching opportunities at FVSM, please mail the following to Fox Valley School of Massage:

1.      Cover letter indicating the area(s) of teaching interest

2.      Current resume and desired hourly wage

3.      Current references 

Your materials will be maintained on file for a period of one year and will be reviewed as the need arises.   

 Adjunct Teaching Opportunities

Anatomy & Physiology Adjunct Instructor

FVSM is currently establishing a pool of qualified candidates to teach Anatomy & Physiology. 

Adjunct instructors are hired on a per course basis.  The total hours for an adjunct instructor range from approximately 4 hours per week to no more than 9 hours per week. 

STARTING DATE:  As needed basis 

QUALIFICATIONS:   Bachelor's Degree in Anatomy & Physiology or related field is preferred; and a minimum of two years recent related work experience is required.  Previous teaching experience is desirable.

Pathology Adjunct Instructor

FVSM is currently establishing a pool of qualified candidates to teach Pathology for Massage Therapists

Adjunct instructors are hired on a per course basis.  The total hours for an adjunct instructor range from approximately 4 hours per week to no more than 9 hours per week. 

STARTING DATE:  As needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS:   Bachelor's Degree in A & P, Pathology or related field is preferred; and a minimum of two years recent related work experience is required.  Previous teaching experience is desirable.

Swedish / Relaxation Massage Theory and Practice Adjunct Instructor

FVSM is currently establishing a pool of qualified candidates to teach Swedish / Relaxation Massage. 

Adjunct instructors are hired on a per course basis.  The total hours for an adjunct instructor range from approximately 6 hours per week to no more than 15 hours per week. 

STARTING DATE:  As needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS:   Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, State Certified Massage Therapist, First Aid / CPR Certified and a minimum of four years recent related work experience is required.  Previous teaching experience is desirable.

Chair Massage Adjunct Instructor

FVSM is currently establishing a pool of qualified candidates to teach Chair Massage. 

Adjunct instructors are hired on a per course basis.  The total hours for an adjunct instructor for this class range from approximately 8-16 hour per semester. 

STARTING DATE:  As needed basis 

QUALIFICATIONS:   Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, State Certified Massage Therapist, First Aid / CPR Certified and a minimum of four years recent related work experience is required. Previous teaching experience is desirable.

 Lymph Massage Adjunct Instructor

FVSM is currently establishing a pool of qualified candidates to teach Lymph Massage. 

Adjunct instructors are hired on a per course basis.  The total hours for an adjunct instructor for this class range from approximately 8-16 hour per semester. 

STARTING DATE:  As needed basis 

QUALIFICATIONS:   Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, State Certified Massage Therapist, First Aid / CPR Certified and a minimum of four years recent related work experience is required.  Previous teaching experience is desirable.
